SCHOOL TESTIMONIALS

I really enjoyed the way the way Harshita interacted with her audience. There was a constant back and forth dialogue with the children. She gave them a voice. Each session was appropriate for the grade level and discussed themes that are part of the grade levels curriculum. Many teachers and students told me they were inspired after the session. Many students couldn’t wait to read her books, make her recipes, and write their own stories. This was a very successful day of learning. -Ruth Mendoza, CTA Freedom Elementary

This presentation was exciting and engaging as Harshita encouraged participation from the students by inviting them to share their personal connections with her story. Additionally, the students were magically “transported” to the streets of India through the visually appealing illustrations in her book, and the students gained valuable insights into the Indian culture.
As a teacher, I was thrilled to see how Harshita integrated the Writing Process into her presentation. This allowed the students to actually see how a real-life author uses the exact same process they are learning in writing class. Harshita’s presence in my classroom was a major factor leading toward the inspiration of many students wanting to develop their creative writing skills, and we are looking forward to reading the next book by this gifted author! –Lynn Kuvakos, BASIS Scottsdale Primary East
